What jobs are eligible?
The Wishek Job Pathway program is intended to encourage employment and help recruit workers to Wishek that are included in the North Dakota Career Builders list of high need and emerging occupations.  Click here to download a list of eligible occupations that match your interests and possible local employers.

If you are still in high school it is never too early to start planning for after graduation.  Begin by considering your interests and skills and what training/education are needed to pursue immediate employment or your desired long term career?  Identify a business in Wishek that is seeking or may possibly benefit from your existing skills or planned training.  Reach out to those local businesses and ask about job shadowing to better understand the responsibilities and opportunities that might be available locally or within your future career.  Local employers are able to obtain funding from JDA to help pay you a stipend for learning about and planning your future.

If you have been accepted or already attending college or technical training, seeking employment in Wishek can help you cover tuition and living expenses through Job Pathway.  A job shadowing experience with a local business during breaks or summers can start building a future employment opportunity especially if that business has open positions or is planning future expansion.  Job Pathway funding matches dollars committed by a future employer and the ND Career Builders program.

If you have student loan debt and are looking for employment, look no farther than Wishek.  Job Pathway multiplies any dollars offered by a future employer and ND Career Builders to provide up to $17,000 in loan payments over three years.

If you are  applying for or considering employment in Wishek, Job Pathway will provide a minimum of $250 or $2 per mile up to $2500 for a business to help you relocate to Wishek and maintain full-time employment for at least 2 years.
